Workshop Safari Photography

We all know them, those perfectly sharp images with beautiful light and beautiful compositions. Often people have the idea that these images can only be made by professionals with expensive equipment and years of experience. But nothing could be further from the truth, you too can take your photos to a higher level after an intensive safari photography workshop.
Without dwelling too much on the technique, during this workshop I focus on those skills that will ensure that you actually return home with fantastic photos.
Autofocus techniques, depth of field, exposure compensation and light sensitivity; after our session, these settings on your camera will no longer hold any secrets and you will also know how to apply them in appropriate situations. In addition, we discuss in detail the best composition and timing for photos that impress!

With my 15 years of photo and travel experience through southern Africa in particular, I am eager to share my knowledge and experiences with you. As a participant in one of my photo tours you are of course assured of continuous guidance, but during this workshop I will take you a long way towards making good and appealing photos.
We will discuss in detail the photo (technical) aspects that come with traveling through this magnificent continent, but this workshop will also focus on all kinds of practical tips.
Together with you I would like to make this a morning or afternoon full of anticipation and knowledge transfer. The date and exact details of this day will be set in consultation with you and, following an initial telephone contact, we will put together the program in such a way that we will achieve maximum returns during the workshop itself.
The basic price of this workshop is € 350.00 for 1 participant, each additional participant costs € 100.00

The global program from 5 to 6 hours is as follows:

• 11:30
  Reception with lunch and discussion of the trip, wishes and current knowledge level
• 12:30
  Private safari lecture where we go into the basic techniques and settings. The lecture is given on a large-screen projection screen of 150x265 cm. If you have already determined your travel destination, the lecture will discuss this in more detail where possible
• 14:00
  Departure to the nature reserve of your choice (Meijendel- Spring Joy - Blijdorp - Beekse Bergen). We will discuss in detail the approach to your subjects, which camera settings you use in these situations. How to make an interesting travel report, etc. This program includes some light snacks, but excludes any entrance fees
• 17:00
  Discussion of the captured images, where can be improved. What was difficult? How can you practice further yourself?
• 18:00
  Closing "sundowner" with travel tips regarding your transport, the equipment and gadgets that make your life in the bush a lot more enjoyable
