1-Day Workshop "Creative Autumn Photography"
Autumn is an excellent time to be busy with your photography. Saturated colors are often present. The trees and the fallen leaves often have a wonderful color pattern and because the sun is no longer directly above us, we can continue shooting in fine light for longer.
During this workshop we take ample time to photograph the mushrooms and autumn colors as beautifully as possible. We will work with various focal lengths, the background, the light and creative blur. The possibilities this season offers us are endless!
We shoot in the pigeons for the corridor, the versatile green zone between Voorschoten, Leidschendam and Wassenaar. The corridor is named after it Castle Duivenvoorde, which is located in the middle of the green zone. We start the day with an inspiring lecture, interspersed with the necessary theory, in Mike's presentation room (265cm wide screen).
After the theoretical introduction, we set off for the morning session near Royal estate De Horsten. A fantastic location to put into practice all the ideas that have gathered in our heads by then.
Throughout the day we will continue to play with backlight, abstraction, reflection and lines. The enthusiast of classic nature photography will of course also get his money's worth because of the fine locations and the season. We photograph individually and only your own creativity determines the type of photography you want to apply. Either way, this workshop will help you recognize photo opportunities, regardless of the season or location.
Is this workshop right for you?
This creative autumn photography workshop is suitable for participants of all levels. Many techniques can already be applied without having an extensive range of lenses or tools. Some basic knowledge about the operation of your camera, aperture and shutter speeds is assumed. Do you especially want to be inspired by all the possibilities? Then this nature photo workshop is perfect for you!
Program
We start this day at 09.00 with an inspiring lecture at Mike's house. With the help of clear visual material and extra explanation, you will gain further insight into the techniques that you could apply. After this session we will go on the road and continue to put this theory into practice. Both the morning and afternoon sessions take place in the vicinity of the Horsten estate. Around 17.00 we stop and have a short debriefing.
The program looks like this:
8:45 AM - 9:00 AM;
Reception with coffee and tea.
9 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.;
Discussion of the techniques in Mike's presentation room.
10:15 AM - 12:00 PM;
Morning and inspiration session at Landgoed Duivenvoorde and/or De Horsten
12:00 pm – 12:45 pm;
Lunch with sandwiches and soup.
12:45 – 5:00 PM;
Landgoed de Horsten to get started with the theory and techniques learned
5:00 PM - 6:00 PM;
A closing drink with a snack
