Program of the macro photography master class;
During this unique masterclass, three very different masters of macro photography each give an evening course, focused on their own expertise.
This way you get to hear a lot of variation in insights and see beautiful and diverse images.
Course evening 1
By Mike Muizebelt
Theme; 'Creative macro photography'
Mike teaches you that this form of nature photography offers you many possibilities. After this course you will be a master of 'out-of-the-box' thinking and after this evening you will know everything about bokeh, depth of field, diffuse image, backlight, high-key and double exposures. Perhaps still unclear photo terms that increase your creativity and make your photos a lot more exciting.
Course evening 2
By means of Jeroen Stel
Theme; 'Flash technology within macro photography'
Jeroen will introduce you to different types of flash units and what the individual options are for working with flash units. You will learn the difference between E-TTL and manual flash and how the synchronization time works on your camera. In addition, you learn to use your flash without it being visible as a "flash photo" in your end result.
Course evening 3
By means of Bart Stornebrink
Theme; 'Shoot from the outside in'
Bart will show you that you don't immediately dive into your subject, but shoot in phases. This also includes searching, enjoying, marveling and looking at it from different angles before you start photographing. The result is that beautiful series are created, instead of just that one photo.
Practice day
Given by Jeroen Stel, Bart Stornebrink and Mike Muizebelt
This morning we dive into nature reserve De Kievit near Harmelen. That's where we get to work with what we've learned. We are going to use tripods, rice bag, reflector screens, flash light and other tools to get you familiar with that too.
You will receive personal guidance from one of the course leaders throughout the morning.
Closing Course Evening (4)
Given by Mike, Jeroen and Bart
On this last evening we discuss the photos taken by the students during the practical day. For this, each participant submits his or her ten best-successful photos.
These will be commented by the course leaders, but the other students will also participate.
This way we learn to look at and judge a photo and you get a lot of useful information about your photos. And that's where you learn the most is our experience.
In the last part of the evening, one of the workshop leaders will give a plenary demonstration of how to fix up a photo in such a way that it becomes even more beautiful. This will be done via the beamer in Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop.
The course leaders have made a pre-selection of the three most beautiful photos and the makers of these photos receive a nice gift.
Coffee and tea with something sweet is available on all course days.
