Workshop Seascapes
€95.00
Are you a novice or more experienced photographer and would you like to spend a few hours working with filters and seascapes? The paaldorp in Petten is a versatile location where the conditions are sometimes excellent! With more than 5 years of experience at this location, Mike Muizebelt knows how to sort them out like no other.
For example, Friday 24 March is a day that we have had in our agenda for a long time. On this day the sun sets at 19:01 and the high water level is reached at 18:05. You would think that is an hour early? But nothing could be further from the truth, because we work with receding water during the best light of the day, the most beautiful lines form in the sand. Of course we have to be careful with our footsteps along the surf.
This day therefore offers us the perfect conditions to get started with filters and slow shutter speeds at the Palendorp. During this workshop “slow shutter speeds and filters”, it will slowly ebb so that beautiful virgin structures and shapes will emerge in the sand. So we work with the receding water.
During this workshop we focus on the swirling water around the posts, but also on the whimsical patterns that arise when the sea slowly recedes. If opportunities arise in this inspiring environment, we will of course not pass them up! After a theoretical introduction, we get to work and this workshop will mainly focus on having fun and gaining experience with filters and slow shutter speeds. Don't have filters? Even then you can simply participate in this workshop, on request it is possible to borrow a set of NiSi filters from us. After sunset it gets dark quickly and you can also make the dreamy images without a filter!
Are you a novice or more experienced photographer and would you like to spend a few hours working with filters and seascapes? In 2023, the conditions in Petten will also be good for a few versatile evenings on the North Holland coast.
Friday, March 24, 2023 is a day that we have had in our agenda for a long time. On this day, the sun sets at 7:01 PM and the highest water level is reached at 6:05 PM.
This day therefore offers us the perfect conditions to get started with filters and slow shutter speeds. During this workshop "slow shutter speeds and filters", it will slowly ebb so that beautiful virgin structures and shapes will arise in the sand. So we work with the receding water. Perfect conditions for working with the sloping water around the piles of Petten.
During this workshop we also make use of the whimsical patterns that arise when the sea slowly recedes. In addition, we focus on the dynamics of the sea around the well-known piles of the Palendorp. If opportunities arise in this inspiring environment, we will of course not let them pass. Program:
The workshop itself:
After a short introduction, we will get started with various subjects such as lighting, filter use, point of view, composition and much more. But we mainly work with the patterns that slowly emerge in the wet sand, the dynamics of the waves and of course the sinking sun. After the sun has set, we will at least continue to work in the blue hour!
Depending on the light intensity, this will be until about an hour after sunset.
