The Sirui Mike Muizebelt Pro Filter Kit

As some of you already know, last year I switched to Sirui's optical glass filters. After a session where my resin filters were tested on the test bench of the Hoya Optical Test Facility, it immediately became clear to me that I was far from getting the optimal image quality out of my images when I used these filters. There was a lot to be gained here in terms of both sharpness and color fidelity.
The Sirui optical glass filters (German Schott Plate Glass B270) passed the technical test with flying colours.

But a lab set-up is of course very different from the use in practice. A set of these filters came with me on a 3 week trip through Namibia and Botswana. Scheduled at the end of the rainy season, which would maximize the chance of spectacular skies. And in some cases they were!

The ease of use of the holder and especially the ease with which you can place and remove the holder turned out to be perfect in the field. The camera I used on this trip was the Pentax 645Z medium format camera with mainly the DFA 645 28-45mm lens. A fantastic camera that rewards good technique with its 50 megapixels with an amazing image, but punishes every mistake mercilessly. Without exception, the images required no color correction and the optical sharpness in the RAW files remained completely intact.

After my enthusiasm, there is one by Sirui in collaboration with Cameraland Sirui Mike Muizebelt Pro filter kit which enables the landscape photographer to improve his landscape images.

  • The Sirui 100 mm Filter Holder, including Circular Polarization Filter, 82 mm thread
  • A set of Adapter rings: 82mm to 67mm, 82mm to 72mm, 82mm to 77mm
  • ND18 (6 stops) Nano S-PRO MC 100x100mm (German Schott Plate Glass B270)
  • GND Hard 0.9 (3 stops) Nano S-Pro Ultra Slim 100x150mm (German Schott Plate Glass B270)
  • GND Soft 0.6 (2 stops) Nano S-Pro Ultra Slim 100x150mm (German Schott Plate Glass B270)

It goes without saying that I am proud of this collaboration and that my enthusiasm about this product has contributed to the design of this professional square filter kit.

If you want to join a workshop where we discuss filter use, take a look at the upcoming workshops I give at Photo United.
Do you prefer a 1 on 1 private workshop? That is of course also possible; I would be happy to make a tailor-made proposal for you.
